Welcome to AbjadPro: Our Goals and Vision

July 10, 2026
Marhaba, welcome to the new AbjadPro blog!

We wanted a place on the site to talk about what we're building, what's coming next, and why we're making the choices we make. So, first post: where things stand right now, and where we want to take this.

What We're Building Right Now

Right now our focus is stories in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). If you haven't run into that term before, MSA is the formal written standard used across the Arab world: books, news, basically anything written down. It's a solid place to start because it gives you a foothold in the language no matter which dialect you end up wanting to speak.

We wanted the stories to be something you'd actually want to read, not just another drill. You can tap a word to see what it means, listen along with the audio, and look at words with similar roots. Paired with the flashcard system, it ends up being a pretty painless way to build vocabulary.

What We're Dreaming About

We want to take AbjadPro well beyond reading.

One of the best ways to actually pick up a language is Comprehensible Input: listening to content that's just a bit above your level, so you're absorbing real language in context. And the best comprehensible input comes from real people talking naturally, not scripted textbook dialogue.

So the long-term goal is a library of videos from native Arabic speakers across the Middle East, each speaking in their own dialect: Egyptian, Levantine, Gulf, Moroccan, and more. Arabic is incredibly diverse, and we want learners to actually hear that diversity. We're looking for native speakers who want to make content, and we'll help them build videos that work well for learners.

As the library grows, you'll be able to pick a dialect, filter by level, and find content you're actually interested in.

We'd Love to Hear From You

We're early in this, and what you tell us matters. If there's a topic you want covered, a dialect you're hoping to hear, or a feature that would make a real difference for you, reach out. The Contact page is in the footer.

Thanks for being here. More soon.
